City camp

On this project I decided to focus on the idea of sleeping on the city. Obviously, a conventional tent is not able to offer a pleasant place to sleep. It is too conspicuous in the visual environment of the city. The tent draws too much attention and jeopar dizes the tranquility of the traveller. My answer to this problem is to use existing and ubiquitous shapes from urban infrastructure as camouflage. The shape of a car, that in some way symbolizes the city, was the most logical choice. Furthermore the parking spaces are perfect for me to appropriate for a different use. A tent shaped like a car, allows the traveller to use a parking space for a night in an unconventional way and raises questions about our use of public urban space.
